MICHAEL AFENTOULLIS, J.D. MBA
CCC ST. LOUIS CHAPTER PRESIDENT
Mr. Afentoullis focuses on providing capital solutions to multifamily, seniors, self-storage, office, industrial, and retail investors in the Midwest and nationwide.
Mr. Afentoullis brings over 25 years of commercial real estate and multifamily, seniors, self-storage, office, retail, and industrial finance experience to the CCC St. Louis team, with specialized knowledge in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA products as well as bank, life insurance, CMBS, bridge, mezzanine, preferred equity, C-PACE, and historic and low income tax credit financing for both market-rate and affordable housing, as well as expertise in direct funding sources for a variety of CRE assets.
Mr. Afentoullis was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Capstone Financial (later part of CBRE Debt and Structured Finance) and a Vice President at Northmarq Capital and has placed over $1 billion in debt and equity transactions in his career. In previous roles, Mr. Afentoullis served as a sales broker at Colliers Turley Martin Tucker and as an Asset Manager at Principal Financial Group and Vice President of participations at a small Midwest-based bank.
Mr. Afentoullis holds a Bachelor’s degree from Truman State University, an M.B.A. from St. Louis University’s John Cook School of business, and a J.D. from St. Louis University.

THERESA BAYER
NAI DESCO
Theresa is a distinguished leader in the commercial real estate sector, currently serving as the Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at NAI DESCO.
As a key executive team member, Theresa is responsible for shaping and implementing the company’s long-term strategic vision, identifying growth opportunities, and leading corporate development initiatives.
Theresa’s real estate career began at Colliers Turley Martin Tucker (the predecessor of Cushman & Wakefield), as a Transaction Manager in the Portfolio Services Center. In this role, she managed site selection, lease negotiations, and construction management for Fortune 500 clients.
As the Director of Global Operations for SIRVA Worldwide, she was responsible for talent management and team operations for the international teams based in the US. After a decade at SIRVA Worldwide, Theresa rejoined Cushman & Wakefield as Vice President of Portfolio Services. There, she led teams of transaction managers, lease administrators, construction project managers, and facility coordinators to execute client portfolio strategies across the United States.
Most recently, Theresa worked at Intelica, starting as Vice President of Operations and later being promoted to Senior Vice President of Strategic Corporate Development. In this role, she directed key initiatives focused on strategic growth, business development, and enhancing the customer experience.
NICK COOK
PANATTONI DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
Nick joined Panattoni Development Company in the summer of 2023. He is a native of the St. Louis region who has spent the last 10 years working in real estate development. Before starting in real estate, he earned his bachelor’s from the University of Colorado then his MBA and JD from Saint Louis University.
Throughout his career, Nick has worked on many projects across various asset types including single family residential, multifamily, retail, office and industrial. Over the last 4 years, he has shifted his focus to speculative industrial development. When not at work, he enjoys spending his free time adventuring in the outdoors with family and friends.
CARA WEBER
MISSOURI PARTNERSHIP
Cara Weber currently serves as Vice President, Special Projects for Missouri Partnership. Cara leads Missouri Partnership’s Shared Services team and provides advanced support to Project Management and Business Development.
Cara began her career in economic development with Missouri Partnership in 2010 as a Business Recruitment Coordinator, where she provided support for location identification, incentive proposal coordination, and more. She then worked in a site selection consulting role for Duff & Phelps in the Site Selection and Incentives Advisory practice, where she focused on Missouri Works projects and New Markets Tax Credit projects across the country. She then served in a regional economic development role as Vice President of Business Attraction for AllianceSTL (now Greater St. Louis, Inc.) where she was responsible for business attraction efforts for the Greater St. Louis Region before returning to Missouri Partnership in 2021.
Cara is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and holds a B.S. in Political Science and an MBA with a specialization in Management.
